A poetry reading, a theater event, and a Bard remix, Translating Sonnets, invites audiences to hear the Bard across boroughs and languages.

On Friday, July 31st, poets and actors come together at JACK for Translating Sonnets, a one-night celebration of Shakespeare reimagined through contemporary poetry and performance. Presented by Creating Space in collaboration with ¡OYE! Group, the evening pairs actors performing Shakespeare’s sonnets in their original form with local poets who translate them into fresh, modern pieces that speak to today’s world.
