evan ray suzuki:
~d r e a m c o r e~

A butoh-ish dance work exploring how new media — the influence of the social internet, digital culture, and memes — affects ways of being in the world, from making a quick video of a dance to having a cry. The piece takes a particular interest in ideas of nostalgia and dreamscape as represented and proliferated through internet subcultures, portrayed in the abstract through found gesture and hazy score. This will be performed as part of a double bill with Sitting In The Bullshit by Hannah Marie Kallenbach and Alexander Paris
