Workshops for a radical theater
February 10 - 18
JACK launches a series of workshops with visionary theater-makers:

Collapsable Giraffe
Four sessions: Tuesday, Feb. 11 – Friday, Feb. 14 from 7 – 10 pm
Jim Findlay, Ilan Bachrach and surprise guests will take participants inside the intense and chaotic methods this company used to create work as an anarchic ensemble between 1995 and 2009 before the core members broke up the group to pursue independent projects like Jim Findlay's Botanica and Dream of the Red Chamber as well as work by Iver Findlay, Joe Truman and Amy Huggans. Frequently performing on the edge of complete disaster, this company was one of the most notorious, dangerous and rarely seen outfits in New York. http://vimeo.com/74593235

Hole Camp - A Workshop with Radiohole
Four sessions:
Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16 from 4:30 – 7 pm
Monday, Feb. 17 and Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 7 – 10 pm
A workshop for anyone interested in a “DIY” approach to creativity, collaboration, technology, theater and performance. Radiohole co-founders Eric Dyer and Maggie Hoffman will guide Hole Campers through the labyrinth of creation that spurred such monster theater pieces as Inflatable Frankenstein, Whatever, Heaven Allows, and Anger/Nation. Hole Camp is collaborative and hands-on; everyone will go down the Radiohole together, exploring alternative techniques of writing, creating sound, performing and approaching technology. Additionally Hoffman and Dyer will share some of their experiences running the Collapsable Hole, self-producing and touring over more that 20 years of experience in New York’s “downtown” scene. www.radiohole.com
