In writer Trish Harnetiaux’s alternate universe of a play, Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall were not the first actors cast in John Hughes' iconic movie The Breakfast Club. J Bouey
CHIRON IN LEO

May 14 - 16
Tickets: $20

Extraordinary dancer/choreographer J. Bouey (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zanes Company) collaborates with DJ TearDrop to share a biomythological tale grown out of their own personal healing and transformation from childhood trauma and oppression. As mental health practices and healing generational trauma become more widely discussed within Black communities, Chiron in Leo dares to dive into drug addiction and domestic violence, challenging the silence and complicity that surrounds the abuse of Black children and mental illnesses of Black men. Through language. Through movement. Through the beat of a favorite song. Through joy. Through communion.

Niall Noel Jones
a n   u n r e a l

May 21 - May 23
Tickets: $20

Experimental choreographer Niall Noel Jones returns to JACK with a new work on being and belonging to the un/lost. A virtuosically unstable piece, a n   u n   r e a l  solicits and challenges the theater’s capacity to house, to hold, the imperceptible velocities of thrown and shattered matter.

TOOLS FOR THE REVOLUTION:
ARTS and MEDIA

June 6th
Tickets: $15-$25

How can we use Art and Media to spread the ideas of the many emerging movements that are working to create the future where all are free, equal and cared for holistically? This three-part workshop series seeks to answer that question by gathering in the spirit of collective liberation to share wisdom, experience, activate our imaginations, and expand our creativity with hands on exercises and deep-dive knowledge shares. Participants will leave the workshop with a deeper understanding of key issues such as the Green New Deal, as well as the tools needed to produce the kind of propaganda that will catalyze the arrival of the healing for which we fight.
