This heated solo extravaganza by Portuguese performer Sérgio Rolo returns to JACK after shocking unsuspecting JACK audiences in its one-night appearance in 2015. Rolo slices and dices his way through an adult retelling of the classic fairy tale using sharp knives and animal products (including a raw chicken that gets mightily abused). Curated by Jim Findlay.
Sérgio Rolo was born in Lisbon, Portugal and studied scenography in Oporto at the Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo. From 1997 - 2011, he was an actor in Teatro de Marionetas do Porto. With his master, João Paulo Seara Cardoso, he performed in festivals and stages around the world. In 2011 he traveled to Macau to perform his children show Garden, Jasmine and never left. Now, in semi-permanent residence in Macau, he develops original shows and street performances, mostly for kids.
