Variations is a show in two parts -- two continuous pieces of music.
The first, Variations: a carving out of space between hip hop, electronica, and counterpoint.
The second, The River: spaces for contemplation; a ride down a river, in a house boat.

Jerome Ellis composes concert pieces for piano, live electronic psychedelic dance suites, ambient pieces for the saxophone, and film and theater scores. His work engages with counterpoint, ambient textures, beatboxing, sampling, electronica, hip hop, Caribbean music, Classical and Baroque music, and storytelling. He’s performed his own music at Joe's Pub, Columbia University’s concert halls and WKCR radio station, HERE Arts Center, 5C Jazz in the East Village, JACK, and Ars Nova.
