CALL FOR ARTISTS
JACK is seeking submissions for our Winter-Spring Season 2018, running from January to June. We invite dance, theater, music, and multi-genre artists to share your visions for a concept that you would like to present at JACK. This could be one performance only, a festival you curate, a multi-week run, and everything in between.
JACK’s mission is to fuel experiments in art and activism, collaborating with adventurous artists and our neighbors to bring about a more just and vibrant society.

Presenting at JACK involves the following agreements:
- Box office split, 60% to the Artist : 40% to JACK.
- Ticket prices set at $15 or above.
- Artist secures own team for tech crew, lighting, sound, and video needs.
- Artist has five hours of complimentary rehearsal time per show with a maximum of 15 hours total.
- Artist can schedule additional rehearsal hours at $17 per hour.
- A JACK team person will: orient artist before first rehearsal, serve as point-person(s) and run box office and bar during the event(s).
- Marketing | JACK promotes all season events through: press releases, JACK website, Facebook event page, an e-blast to our mailing list of over 1,800, and our season poster and postcard distribution.
Please Note: A few space and set parameters:
- Any performers tapping or hoofing must provide and use their own tap boards.
- Open flame is not permitted.
- The use of glitter is not permitted.

- Bio and/or resume (of lead artist or of the company)
- Plan for technical support (lights/sound/stage management)
- Ideal time frame and a list of possible dates ranked by in order of preference.
