Root Song choir
Led by Karma Mayet Johnson
A residency of the singer/composer Karma Mayet Johnson at three different senior centers in the area, in the formation of choirs focusing on roots music of the American south. The participating centers include St. Louis Senior Center in Crown Heights, Grace Agard Senior Center in Clinton Hill, and the Farragut North senior center in DUMBO.

Steffani Jemison and Justin Hicks at the Atlantic Terminal Community Center
This residency consists of workshops and music sessions, with the two artists collaborating with residents of the Atlantic Terminal public housing complex to explore the original viral medium: song. The artists will work with residents to preserve memories and communicate information while modeling community and leadership, solo and unison, chorus and polyphony.
